Markdown (Wikipedia) is a human readable markup language

Enable Markdown​

Navigate to ☰ > Settings > Look and feel and toggle on Edit screen options > Markdown

You may also want to toggle on Task list options > Show full description

Behavior​

  • Task list: Markdown will be rendered in the title and description. Links will be clickable
  • Edit screen: Markdown syntax in the title and description will be highlighted
  • Widgets & notifications: Due to technical limitations only strikethrough is supported. Other features will be rendered as plain text with Markdown syntax removed. Links cannot be clicked
